What is the minimum visual acuity test requirement for visual examiner when manufacturing pressure vessels as per ASME Sect VIII Div 2. Is that Jaeger 1 or Jaeger 2, I saw it seems conflicting between ASME Sect V Article 9 requirement and SNT-TC-1A, thanks

Before going to Sec. V or SNT-TC-1A take a look into your Code of Construction. Division 2 shows the requirements for visual examniation in 7.5.2:

7.5.2 Visual Examination
7.5.2.1 Examination Method
All welds for pressure retaining parts shall be visually examined. Personnel performing visual examinations shall pass the annual eye test in accordance with paragraph 7.A.2.2.

In 7.A.2.2 you will find the following:

[...] The examiner has vision, with correction if necessary, to read a Jaeger Type No.2 Standard Chart, at a distance of not less than 300 mm (12 in.), ...
