Dear Gentlemen, i encountered a question, at one site, no adequate fresh water for hydro test, so now the contractor planning to take lake water as substitution, i think the water quality should be testfied, but as water quality requirement, i only know the Chloride ion should be less than 25 ppm, so is there any other requirement for the testing water, pls advise, thanks.
by the way, the equipment is LPG spherical tank.

For the Carbon Steel Vessels Chloride is not mandatory the Potable water is acceptable,however for Stainless Steel Vessels Chloride content is specified by most of the clients to be 25ppm.

25ppm is also the maximum content of chloride permitted in potable water (in Europe).
