I'm trying to learn ASME Sec-VIII Div-I, can anybody tell me what is the difference between Div-I & Div-II

Division 1 and 2 are two different books with many different details.
Both are pressure vessel Codes, but even the ASME Certificate required for the manufacturer is different. U, vs. U2 stamp.
In general, Div. 1 design is more simple and has a larger coefficient of safety than DIV. 2. Div 2 has more restrictions on materials and a wider scope of NDE required.

The other differences could take weeks to list.
