Dear All,
For one of our jobs we need to qualify a WPS as per AWS D1.1with Impact

1. Backing is essential variable or not

2. Is change in pre heat temperature more than 56 deg C requires requalification
3. Maximum inter pass temperature.

Please give clause reference.

What process are you using (SMAW, SAW, GMAW, FCAW GTAW)?

Tubular or plate?

Prequalifed procedure?

CJP?
