I have a qualified PQR with ASME P1 materials i.e. root by GTAW with filler wire ER 70 S2 and filler passes by E 7018 electrodes. Now a situation has arised to weld between ASME P1 materials ( A 672 Gr B60 Cl 12) pipe with EN materials S355 MCD of spec EN 10149-2 i..e hot rolled steel product with high yield strength properties.

As the chemical and mechanical properties of S355 MCD grade steel is similar to ASME P1 materials, can any body confirm for adopting the above qualified PQR with the mentioned welding consumables ( GTAW by ER 70S2 + Filler passes by E 7018) without nay further qualifications.

Thanks in advance

If the item being welded is to be Code Stamped a WPS/PQR basesed on P1 to P1 will not qualify welding a P1 to an EN Material.
You need a PQR that uses P1 to the the specified EN material or another method which gives more flexability is when you qualify using a a Code material to the Chemical & Mechanical properties of a non-Code material rather than the specification.
