While designing high temperature vessels, in accordance with ASME sec VIII Div 1 and PED 97/23/EC, a designer usually faces a situation when he is asked to present the adequacy of his design i.e. find out the yield value from Table Y1 of ASME sec VIII Div 1.

What option has the manufacturer got if the yield value is not listed in the table.
